Hydroworx SA is a premier water solutions provider formed through the merger of Luxury Spas and Saunas (est. 2006) and Pool Spa and Filtration Supplies KZN (est. 2019). Specializing in bespoke luxury pools, custom spas, saunas, boreholes, water filtration, and high-end water features. We deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for residential
and commercial clients. Hydroworx SA is a registered company expanding across KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) with a growing network of agents.
A KZN family owned business started by Brandon Van Vuuren and Jo Van Vuuren in 2006. Brandon started in the industry in 2002, working for a spa company in Durban. In January 2006, their first born son, Joshua was born and they decided to do something bigger to support their journey in life. They knew their current day to day jobs would not support them for their future family and so Luxury Spas was born. The name was created out of pure chance, when they walked into the bank to open up their company bank account and came up with the name on the spot. The business started off doing spa repairs with Brandon as the technician and Jo as the back office manager. The first customer being an elderly lady in Toti for a heater change, which they now have completed over a 1000 across KZN. We then grew the business by offering new spa sales, repairs, custom builds, saunas, spa baths, stream rooms and swim spa’s and have a team of 10 people working for the business.
In 2013, a partnership was built with Superior Spa and Bath, which lead us to become the KZN branch, supplying Superior spas, baths’ and accessories. Providing South Africa, with the best spa by far.
To name a few of their greatest achievements being sourced and flown to Seychelles for 2 high profile international clients and supplied multiple new developments in and around KZN. Luxury Spa’s are now proud to be the leaders in the industry for high end automation across the pool and spa industry.
In 2016, Ballito were imposed with strict water restrictions which led to our phones not ringing and having to think of a backup plan. This is when Roman pool and spa maintenance was born, offering an added service by providing customers with monthly maintenance plans for their spa’s, which was a first of its kind.
In 2019, we met the owners of company called Pool spa and filtration supplies, a couple months later we were the part owners of Pool Spa and filtration Supplies KZN, offering high end pool equipment for domestic and commercial pools, koi pond filtration and water features. Having been running as a home based business, we proudly opened our new head office premises based in Springfield Park in September 2020. We then opened our Ballito showroom in 2022.
